Strategic Institutional Grant

Projects demonstrating exceptional national socio-economic impact may qualify for strategic funding of up to ৳25,00,000 (in two installments), with an additional ৳5,00,000 possible on demonstrated success. This category requires institutional registration and Ministerial approval. Learn more in the policy

Application & Selection Process

A structured four-stage process from application to project completion

Stage 1

Submit Proposal

Applications accepted year-round

Submit a comprehensive project proposal including:

Detailed project proposal and objectives
Comprehensive budget breakdown
CV/Portfolio of team members
Legal documents (if registered entity)

Stage 2

Committee Review

Bi-monthly evaluation cycle

Selection committee evaluates proposals based on:

Technical feasibility and innovation
Potential socio-economic impact
Budget justification and alignment
Presentation/interview if shortlisted

Stage 3

Tranche-based Funding

Phased disbursement model

Grant disbursement in installments as per Article 17.4:

First installment upon approval
Subsequent tranches after 6 months
Progress report verification required
Milestone-based release mechanism

Stage 4

Mentorship & Monitoring

Continuous support and oversight

Ongoing support as per Article 21.8:

Dedicated mentor assignment
Regular progress monitoring
Final report and product submission
Completed deliverables handed over to ICT Division for public use

Important Terms & Conditions

Key policy provisions you should understand before applying

Deliverable Handover

As per Article 21.5, documents, software, and materials produced under the project must be handed over to the ICT Division (or its designated institution) for public service use upon completion.

Refund Clause

Failure to complete the project or submit deliverables may require full or partial refund of the grant amount.
